A year ago, when we shifted the 2020 Celebrate Israel Parade to a virtual event, we had every intention of being together on 5th Avenue in 2021. Unfortunately, for understandable reasons, the Mayor’s Office and NYPD informed us last week that our permit for the 2021 Celebrate Israel Parade has been denied. Despite the inoculation of many with vaccines, we agree that we cannot safely bring tens of thousands of people together at this time. As a result, we have refocused our efforts on next year, when we believe we will be able to be together on 5th Avenue for our scheduled date on Sunday, May 22, 2022.
To celebrate this year, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting a virtual competition for our marching groups! Groups can submit a 30-45 second video by May 12th showing how THEY creatively Celebrate Israel.
The group with the winning video will receive FREE Celebrate Israel Parade registration in 2022, and our 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive reduced registration rates. Videos will be shared on our social media channels on our previously scheduled date for this year’s event, Sunday, June 6th.
We look forward to receiving your submissions as we work to creatively celebrate Israel in 2021
Can’t wait to greet you when we can all be Together Again on Fifth Avenue in 2022!
